Our story

Gene (Evgeny) got the endless love to music from his family. 

His uncle played drums, cousin played guitar.

In the early childhood Evgeny goes to the school of art in Kishinev, his home city.

By the time he turned 13, he already had accomplished 7 years of study and finally, had got diploma in conducting, choir and accordion. 

In 1991, his family immigrates to Israel, where Evgeny attends a boarding school in Haifa.

At the age of 21, after he accomplishes his service in IDF, Evgeny is back for music.

He buys a mini-disc full of playbacks to start practising his vocal skills.

He founds it challenging after years without music practise.

Evgeny is full of enthusiasm to start over from scratch. 

He takes vocal lessons and finally gets the opportunity to volunteer in the local wedding band.

Everything changes quickly. Evgeny sings and emcees in local Russian restaurants and private receptions.

In 2002 he buys Ensoniq keybord synthesizer to play and record music. He also plays guitar and accordion.

On weekdays he studies for Bachelor's degree of Industial Engineering at Ariel Univercity center.

On weekends Evgeny performs in private and corporate events.

By 2005 he has been gaining experience, recognition and popularity as a wedding singer and emcee in Israel.

Meeting Olga.

One winter night, during his performance on the stage, Evgeny meets and falls in love with Olga, who is a professional dancer and choreographer. 

By that time, Olga was running a dance troup which had also performed in events, actually as Evgeny did.

They married in 2006. 

That was a time "Mystery" started its way.

Together, they created a very special and popular entertainment company to provide clients with quality services: dj's, bands, cabaret and dance shows, grand entrances, effect machines and more.

In 2008 Evgeny started practising his dj'ing skills and soon he became a very popular dj -  DJ GENE REZNICK

In 2016 Evgeny immigrated to Canada with his wife Olga and their two lovely kids: Katherine and Yonatan.

That year Reznick Entertainment started it's way in Ontario, Canada.

Evgeny Reznick has become a very popular DJ, MC, singer. He has been getting bookings from all over the world: Canada, Israel, Russian Federation and Europe.

Since 2016 Evgeny actively works as lyricist, composer and arranger. Many songs have been written and published so far.

Question: Why should we hire you?

Answer: I love what I do, really. I mean, after 15 years of successeful work in this business, I'm more than confident that I've got the best job I could possible have dreamed about. Frankly, I love to make people happy, even for a single day. I love to bring them fun, joy and happiness. When my clients are happy, I'm happy too.

Question:  Gene, are you a dj or an emcee?

Answer: I love combining my dj'ing and emceing work. Normally, I would hire  my talented team for best performance. 

Basically, I am both experienced DJ and Emcee. In some events where it's required upon a concept, I can offer 2 persons: one dj and the other emcee.

Question:  What music styles are you really good at?

Answer: Hmm.. Mostlly pop music - dance & electronic, techno, house, 70-80's, hip-hop.

First, I try to play the most popular music in the particular period of time: TOP 40 etc.. But before, I always discuss with clients during line-up meeting. Finally, I'm fully connected to the dance floor. So I would react accordingly.
